Willie Nelson, Wynton Marsalis To Play Lincoln Center, Hollywood Bowl

Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis will perform together Feb. 9, 2009, at the Rose Theater in New York City as part of the Jazz at Lincoln Center's '08-2009 concert and education season, according to a press release. Single tickets can be purchased through www.jalc.org, at the box office or via CenterCharge's telephone lines.

The country superstar and jazz master, who recently recorded a new live album, "Two Men with the Blues," in The Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, also are scheduled to appear July 10 on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." The Nelson/Marsalis album was released today (7/8) on Blue Note Records.

In related news, Nelson has stepped in for Natalie Cole, who was forced by illness to cancel a July 9 performance with Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl.
