Singer/songwriter couple Wreckless Eric (real name: Eric Goulden) and Amy Rigby will knock out a run of headlining dates this fall behind their debut album as a duo.

British-born Goulden and American-bred Rigby (the couple married earlier this year) will kick off the run Aug. 28 in Portland, OR, and the 22-date run is slated to continue through the middle of October. Details are below.

" Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby [ tickets ]," the couple's eponymous debut, is due in stores this fall on the revitalized Stiff label. Goulden's return to Stiff surprised many fans in light of his acrimonious breakup with the label 28 years ago; he initially emerged as part of the first batch of artists Stiff signed in the mid-'70s, along with fellow New Wave acts Ian Dury and Elvis Costello, among others.

"I got tired of people asking if I was bitter about how things went," Eric said in a press statement. "It's a long time ago now--in the words of an old Stiff slogan: 'He's Not The Same, We're Not The Same.' When Trevor Horn and SPZ took over the label I called them. I said, 'the music might be your property, but its my life. I don't want to give you a hard time, I just want to get involved.' And they said 'great, that's just what we want.' We've had a good relationship for something like 10 years now, so when we were looking for a label to release a new album, Stiff was an obvious choice."

The set features Goulden on guitar, bass and organ, Rigby on guitar and piano, "plus the odd sample, some well placed percussion and an old bossa nova beatbox," according to a press release.

After appearing with several New York City bands in the '80s, Rigby released her solo debut, "Diary of a Mod Housewife," in 1996. The singer has released five studio albums, most recently 2005's "Little Fugitive."
