Tickets for all seven of the Foo Fighters ' upcoming acoustic shows have sold out, prompting organizers to add a second night to the group's stand in Berkeley, CA, according to the band's publicist.
The newly confirmed second show at the Berkeley Community Theater is set for July 14, and a press release promises additional dates will be announced "soon."
Rapper 50 Cent took home the Songwriter of the Year award at Monday's (5/23) 23rd Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards celebration in Beverly Hills, CA.
Green Day 's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "We Belong Together," co-written by Johnta Austin, Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal, tied for the Song of the Year trophy.
Annie Lennox of Eurythmics was presented with the ASCAP Founders Award, which is given "to songwriters who have made pioneering contributions to music by inspiring and influencing their fellow music creators," according to a press release.
Bassist Andy Nicholson won't be along for the Arctic Monkeys ' upcoming North American tour, which launches May 27.
"Owing to fatigue following an intensive period of touring, Andy Nicholson shall be taking a rest and will not be accompanying Arctic Monkeys on their forthcoming tour of North America," reads a post on the band's website.
