Christian singer Amy Grant will head out later this summer for a US tour, during which she'll be backed by a full orchestra.
Grant has booked a loose-knit itinerary that gets underway in late August and stretches into mid-November. Stops are planned in about 15 cities, where Grant will take each stage accompanied by a local symphony. Details are included below.
Grant's most recent album is last year's "Rock of Ages ... Hymns and Faith," which hit the No. 1 spot on the Top Christian Albums chart. The disc features Grant's renditions of several classic hymns, as well as "Rock of Ages," a duet that pairs Grant with her husband, singer Vince Gill.
Earlier this year, the disc picked up a Grammy Award in the Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album category.
Over the course of her career, Grant has sold more than 24 million albums, according to a press release. She has won a total of six Grammy Awards and 24 Dove Awards, which honor Christian music's top acts.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Grant hosts the NBC-TV reality series "Three Wishes."
