
Swedish alt-metalists HIM will be joined by Papa Roach , Lostprophets and Kill Hannah on first leg of their upcoming "No Sleep Till Halloween" tour.
HIM, a Finnish quintet is still supporting its 2005 release, "Dark Light," will kick off its North American tour Oct. 18 in Lowell, MA. The 10-city outing ends with a Halloween night appearance in Universal City, CA.
"Dark Light," released last September, is currently on the verge of selling 500,000 copies, which will make the band the first Finnish act to go gold in the US, according to a press release. The set debuted in the Top 20 of The Billboard 200 album chart, and spawned the single "Wings of a Butterfly," which garnered attention from alternative radio stations.
Papa Roach's new album, "The Paramour Sessions," is set for a Sept. 12 release. "To Be Loved," the first single from the album, went on sale exclusively via the iTunes store Aug. 1. The group has also signed on to headline the Zippo Hot Tour, which kicks off in November following its dates with HIM.
Welsh nu-metal troupe Lostprophets released their their third album, "Liberation Transmission," in late June. The band enlisted former Vandals drummer Josh Freese in the studio after the departure of original member Mike Chiplin.
Grunge revivalists Kill Hannah, whose third album, "Until There's Nothing Left of Us," hit stores Aug, 1, rounds out the supporting end of the bill.
