"The Lost Crowes," a two-CD set from The Black Crowes that was due to hit shelves today (8/29), won't find its way to stores until Sept. 26, according to the group's publicist.
The delay was caused by "a recently discovered manufacturing error," a press release said.
As previously reported, "The Lost Crowes" features tracks from a pair of albums that the Crowes recorded but never officially released: 1993's "Tall" and 1997's "Band."
The planned DVD release of the band's 1992 home video, "Who Killed That Bird Out On Your Windowsill," has also been pushed back to Sept. 26.
In other Crowes news, keyboardist Eddie Hawrysch, who joined the oft-changing group in 1992 and was one of its longest-serving members, "has been released from the band due to personal issues," according to a press release. No other details were given. Keyboardist Rob Clores will fill in during the group's upcoming fall tour.
Several dates have been added to the Crowes' tour since last check; the current itinerary is below.
