With the buzz building around the group's upcoming live album and concert film, alt-rockers My Morning Jacket have lined up three weeks of club and theater dates to support the new releases.
The outing--which will follow a series of solo dates by My Morning Jacket frontman/guitarist Jim James in support of John Prine --kicks off Nov. 9 in Charleston, SC, and is currently scheduled to visit 16 cities. The itineraries for James and MMJ are below.
My Morning Jacket's forthcoming concert recording, dubbed "Okonokos," is due in stores Sept. 26. The two-disc set--mixed by Michael Brauer (Bob Dylan, Coldplay) and mastered by engineer Bob Ludwig--features 21 tracks. The full tracklisting is available at the band's official website.
The "Okonokos" concert film will be issued Oct. 31 on DVD, and will be screened in select cities this fall, according to MMJ's publicist. It was filmed by director Sam Erickson with the aid of lighting designer Marc Brickman, who is known for his work with Pink Floyd.
The "Okonokos" projects follow last year's "Z," My Morning Jacket's fourth full-length album. LiveDaily's critics named "Z" the best album of 2005.
