update: The bulk of the North American itinerary for Tina Turner 's "Twenty Four Seven" world tour has been unveiled via her official website, and Turner's camp has announced that Lionel Ritchie will be the tour's supporting act. The tour gets underway March 23 in Minneapolis, and will hit about 50 major markets.
Routing information and ticket onsale dates for eight stops on the tour surfaced earlier this week. The 60-year-old pop legend has said that the tour will be her last.
Tickets for Turner's performances in Rosemont, Ill., Auburn Hills, Mich., New York, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Las Vegas, San Jose, and Boston, Mass., are set to go on sale on Saturday (2/5). The tour is also scheduled to make a stop at Target Center in Minneapolis on March 23, and tickets for that show are tentatively set to go on sale on Feb. 12. Other onsale dates weren't available at press time.
Through an arrangement that Turner's camp has struck with tour sponsor E*Trade, customers of the online broker will get the first crack at purchasing tickets for premium seats, usually during a specific pre-sale period.
