Hard rockers Killswitch Engage have made a switch in their fall tour plans, replacing original openers Shadows Fall with All That Remains .
The fellow Massachusetts group will offer direct support for Killswitch Engage, joining Bury Your Dead and 2 Cents as opening acts for the tour, which continues launches Nov. 9 in Charlotte, NC.
"We are all very disappointed that we will not be able to hit the road with our friends in Killswitch Engage and Bury Your Dead," Shadows Fall lead singer Brian Fair said in a press release. "Originally, we had hoped to complete the recording of our new album in time for the beginning of the tour on Nov. 9, but now it appears that will not be possible. New ideas have continued to surface and push the songs into new directions that we have to pursue. Making the best album possible is our number one priority and something we must focus on one hundred percent at this time. We sincerely apologize to all the people that planned on coming to see us at these shows, but our absence is no reason not to go and support this tour."
On Nov. 21, Killswitch Engage offers up "As Daylight Dies," its fourth studio set, and third release for Roadrunner Records. The set follows 2004's "The End of Heartache" and last year's gold-certified DVD "(Set This) World Ablaze."
"Everyone is excited about the new material," bassist Mike D'Antonio said in a statement. "We went back to the basics of everyone contributing on this record. We can't wait to get it out."
Fans can check out the full tracklisting and cover art for "As Daylight Dies" at Roadrunner's website. The site also features an audio stream of the album's title track.
All That Remains continues to support its third album, "The Fall of Ideals," released earlier this summer. A track from the album, "Six," will be featured as a bonus track in the upcoming Playstation 2 game, "Guitar Hero II," slated for release Nov. 7.
