CD/DVD ushers The Used's Taste of Chaos stint

Utah-based alt-rockers The Used will jumpstart a busy year with the upcoming release of two new CDs, plus a lengthy gig headlining the third annual Taste of Chaos Tour.

February 6 will see the band release "Berth," a CD/DVD combo recorded and shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, during the group's last headlining tour. The package contains supplemental documentary material, including the making of the current album, as well several of the band's music videos.

Fans who pre-order "Berth" through the band's website will receive the disc bundled with an exclusive T-shirt.

The Used has also set a tentative April release for its still-untitled third studio album for Reprise Records. The band has been recording the follow-up to 2004's gold-certified "In Love and Death" in Los Angeles with producer John Feldmannn (The Matches, Story of the Year).

Starting Feb. 15 in Everett, WA, The Used will kick off its headlining run atop the Taste of Chaos roster. In addition to The Used, the two-month traveling festival includes 30 Seconds to Mars , Senses Fail, Saosin, Chiodos, Aiden, Evaline and others.

"Fans can see a big production and enjoy all sorts of interactive concourse activities for the price of going to the movies and eating some popcorn," The Used lead vocalist Bert McCracken said in a press release. "We really support giving our fans a s---load of entertainment for a fair price and this tour accomplishes that ... and we are gonna rock some of our new songs on the tour which we are really excited about."
