30 Seconds to Mars mix Chaos dates with headlining work

Not satisfied with its mere two months of upcoming, nearly non-stop gigging as part of the Taste of Chaos tour, alternative popsters 30 Seconds to Mars have filled in a few gaps with their own headlining dates.

The band, featuring actor-turned-popstar Jared Leto on vocals and guitar, will pick up dates overlapping the Chaos run whenever an opportunity arises. The group's first such show will come Feb. 16 in Portland, OR, just one night after the Taste of Chaos launches in Everett, WA.

As previously reported, in addition to 30 Seconds to Mars, the Taste of Chaos lineup includes The Used , Senses Fail, Saosin, Chiodos, Aiden, Evaline and others.

"The 2007 USA and Canada tour is our strongest lineup to date and we are excited to bring this great show to the fans," said Kevin Lyman, also the Warped Tour mastermind, in a statement to the press.

The Used is planning to release its third album to coincide with the 2007 tour.

30 Seconds to Mars' album "A Beautiful Lie" is nearing platinum status, having spawned the hit "The Kill," which earned the clip an MTV Video Music Award.

Sense Fail's second full-length release, "Still Searching," debuted at No. 15 on The Billboard 200 chart in October. The Bergen County, NJ-based act's 2004 full-length, "Let It Enfold You," has sold more than 325,000 copies.

Saosin traveled with the Rockstar Taste of Chaos International tour, which hit Australia, Japan and Europe. The group's self-titled, debut full-length sold about 40,000 copies during its first week in stores.

Warped Tour veterans Chiodos formed while its members were attending high school near Flint, MI, and recently released the full-length "All's Well That Ends Well" on Equal Vision Records.

Aiden recently won the UK magazine Kerrang!'s Best International Newcomer Award over the likes of Panic! At the Disco and Wolfmother. The Seattle quartet sold more than 100,000 copies of its Victory Records debut, "Nightmare Anatomy," and followed that up with October's Halloween release of an EP/DVD titled "Rain in Hell."

Turlock, CA's Evaline sent to stores in June its six-song EP, "Postpartum modesty. A portrait of skin." Following the tour, the band will record its first full-length LP, which is due out this summer.
