Ziggy Marley continues to build support for his most recent solo album, last year's "Love is My Religion," with a spring/summer US tour that runs well into August.
The eldest son of late reggae legend Bob Marley, Ziggy--who kicked off his current run back in March--will next play a May 10 show in Eugene, OR, as he continues the tour's West Coast swing. The itinerary is included below.
Released last July, "Love is My Religion" is available exclusively via Target retail stores in the US, as well as via Apple's iTunes Music Store. The disc includes electric and acoustic versions of the album's title track, both of which are streaming at Marley's MySpace website.
Marley wrote all 12 cuts on the set, played most of the instruments and produced or co-produced all of the songs, according to a press release.
"Love is My Religion" follows Marley's 2003 solo debut, "Dragonfly." The reggae artist is also known for his body of work with the Melody Makers, a group that features Marley and his siblings: Stephen, Sharon and Cedella. Ziggy Marley has been singing, writing and producing with that unit since the age of 10.
