Peter Bjorn and John back for more US shows

Swedish pop trio Peter Bjorn and John have sketched out a new round of US dates for later this summer, just days after completing their first-ever full North American tour.

The indie popsters will play three shows in the western half of the country, kicking off July 31 in Los Angeles, before hitting Aug. 4's Virgin Festival in Baltimore and tackling an Aug. 5 slot at Chicago's Lollapalooza. The group's full American itinerary is included below.

In the meantime, the group will keep busy playing the European summer-festival circuit. The trio's complete European schedule can be found at its official website.

Peter Bjorn and John are touring behind "Writer's Block," their most recent studio album. Released in February, the set is the group's third full-length effort, and follows 2005's "Falling Out." The album's latest single, "Objects of My Affection," was released on 7-inch vinyl and 3-track CD in February. Both formats include a remix of the group's "Let's Call It Off" by electronica DJ Girl Talk (Greg Gillis).

A pair of videos from the new album--"Young Folks" and "Objects of My Affection"--are streaming at the group's website.
