Justin Timberlake doubles up in select cities, taps Good Charlotte

Justin Timberlake has announced more two-night engagements for his upcoming North American tour, and has recruited Good Charlotte to join him on the run.

The outing, which kicks off Aug. 6 in the pop singer's hometown of Memphis, now has two-night-stands in Toronto and Winnipeg. As previously announced, Timberlake will also spend two nights in New York City and Los Angeles. Details are listed below.

Rockers Good Charlotte, who in March snagged the No. 7 spot on The Billboard 200 with their fourth studio album, "Good Morning Revival," will open most of the shows.

Timberlake received rave reviews earlier this year for the first leg of his North American tour. The show has him performing in the round with a 14-piece band and backup dancers.

The singer is currently touring the UK, where he has multiple shows at every stop into next month. Info about the overseas gigs can be found at Timberlake's fan club website.

The pop star's concert is also coming to the small screen, as HBO plans to record his Aug. 16 performance to air on the network Sept. 3, according to a posting at his website.

Timberlake continues to support his Grammy-winning sophomore solo album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and broke all digital album sales records. The September release has spawned hit singles "SexyBack, "My Love," and "What Goes Around ... Comes Around." Songs from the set are streaming at Timberlake's website and MySpace page.

The performer has also been busy on the acting front this year, appearing in feature films "Black Snake Moan" and "Alpha Dog." He also plays King Arthur, or "Artie," in "Shrek 3."

In addition, Timberlake recently announced plans to step into the business side of things, creating his own record label as a joint venture with Interscope Records.
