The Cribs anticipate 'Needs,' map summer tour
British alt-rockers The Cribs have set up a quick headlining romp through America to back their forthcoming major label debut, "Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever."
The punk-pop trio has lined up 14 shows in a scant two-and-a-half weeks, kicking off July 23 in San Diego, and centered on the band's Aug. 5 appearance at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival.
Due in US stores July 17, "Men's Needs" is the group's third studio album, and follows 2005's "The New Fellas." The new album boasts production by Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand.

The Cribs, composed of twin brothers Ryan (guitar/vocals) and Gary Jarman (bass/vocals) and younger brother Ross (drums) made their "debut" at a family party in the '80s, when Ryan and Gary were just nine years old and Ross was five. The three brothers officially formed The Cribs in 2003, releasing their self-titled debut in 2005, with an assist from American indie scenemaker Bobby Conn, who invited the group to record in his Chicago studio after playing on a bill with the band.
