Sum 41 ships new album, maps fall tour

Canadian punk-poppers Sum 41 have hitched a headlining tour onto the back end of their current schedule, which is loaded with August appearances as part of the Van's Warped Tour.

The announcement of the headlining run coincides with today's (7/24) release of the band's latest studio album, "Underclass Hero." The end-of-the-summer outing kicks off Sept. 8 in Portland, ME, and hits 15 cities throughout the month, concluding with the band's Sept. 29 Louisville, KY, appearance as part of a lineup sponsored by local radio station WLRS.

Three of the September dates will find the group hooking up with fellow punk revivalists Yellowcard . In the meantime, Sum 41 will finish off the rest of its Warped duties, beginning Aug. 14 in Maryland Heights, MO. All dates are shown below.

"Underclass Hero" is the band's first studio album since 2004's "Chuck"; the group released a DVD, "Go Chuck Yourself," in 2006 documenting the tour behind its previous set.

For a limited time, fans can watch a video of the group performing the new album live in its entirety through a special promotional website.
