German hard rock veterans Scorpions return to the US this fall with a September tour backing its 21st album.
The five-piece--which revolves around longtime core members Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (guitar, vocals) and Matthias Jabs (guitar), as well as bassist Pawel Maciwoda and drummer James Kottack--will kick off its latest attack on North American audiences Sept. 4 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
The 15-city tour features stops in three Canadian cities as well as a West Coast leg, including shows in Las Vegas and the Los Angeles area. All of the band's upcoming dates are included below.
The band's latest studio effort, "Humanity--Hour 1," was released in May. The group spent four months in the studio working on the set with producers James Michael and Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi) behind the boards. The album features a guest performance from Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan on the song "The Cross."
"As exciting as it is to work on new songs in the studio, when it comes right down to it, we are a die-hard live performance band that really shifts into overdrive when we hit the stage," said Schenker in a press statement.
"Direct contact with our fans is our biggest source of inspiration," added Meine.
