update: KISS has announced additional concert dates for its farewell tour. The band is now scheduled to tour the U.S. until mid-September.
The new dates include several shows in California, as well as stops in Denver, Las Vegas and Fort Worth, Texas. The band is scheduled to wind up in Syracuse, N.Y., on Sept. 16.
Ted Nugent and Skid Row are still slated to open for KISS throughout the tour, although Skid Row will not be performing at the California shows due to a prior commitment. KISS' management says the band still plans to have two opening acts on those dates, but a replacement for Skid Row has not been named.
KISS is in the midst of what it claims will be its final tour. The tour features all four original members--Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss--in full makeup and costumes.
