Bruce Springsteen will play a pair of pre-tour rehearsal shows for the his hometown fans in Asbury Park, NJ, as he and The E Street Band prepare to head out on a national tour.

Tickets for the two rehearsal shows, which take place Sept. 24-25 at Asbury Park's Convention Hall, go on sale tomorrow (9/20) exclusively through the Ticketmaster Charge by Phone service. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.) In an effort to thwart scalpers, fans will be limited to a maximum of two tickets apiece, which must be picked up at the venue on the night of the show. Two forms of ID will be required at the venue to claim any purchased tickets, which will sell for $100 apiece.

After the rehearsal gigs, Springsteen and the E Street Band will launch their first full-scale tour of the US and Europe since 2003 in support of their new album, which hits store shelves Oct. 2, the same day the group kicks the tour off in Hartford, CT. The outing will cover 16 cities in the US and Canada before shifting to its European leg. All domestic dates are listed below; see Springsteen's official website for the overseas schedule.

On tour, Springsteen will be joined by E Street Band keyboardist Roy Bittan, saxman/percussionist Clarence Clemons, keyboardist Danny Federici, guitarist Nils Lofgren, vocalist/guitarist Patti Scialfa, bassist Garry Tallent, guitarist Steven Van Zandt and drummer Max Weinberg.

"Magic" is Springsteen's first new studio recording with the E Street Band since 2002's Grammy-winning, multi-platinum album "The Rising." The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's longtime manager, Jon Landau, described the new record in a statement as "a high energy rock CD," adding, "It's light on its feet, incredibly well played by Bruce and the members of the E Street Band, and, as always, has plenty to say."
