George Strait is already looking ahead to the new year with the announcement of a US arena tour that is set to launch in January.
The country star will kick things off Jan. 10 in Austin, TX, and currently has shows scheduled across the country into March. The itinerary is listed below. Additional performances and on-sale dates will be announced shortly, according to a press release.
Grammy-nominated group Little Big Town, which has a new album due next month, will serve as special guests on the outing.
Strait continues to support last year's "It Just Comes Natural," his 34th studio album and 32nd to be certified platinum, according to a press release. The record's latest single, "Wrapped," is the Country Music Hall of Famer's 55th No. 1 song. The title track and the lead single, "Give It Away," have also topped the country singles chart.
Strait, who has won more than 50 entertainment industry honors, is looking to continue his streak at next month's Country Music Association Awards, where he's up for seven more trophies, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Album of the Year. During his career, Strait has logged 70 CMA nominations and has been voted Vocalist of the Year five times.
The Texas native has sold more than 62 million records in 26 years and earned the second most platinum-album certifications of any artist in any genre, following only Elvis Presley, according to a press release.
