Robin Thicke takes 'Evolution' into fall

R&B/soul singer Robin Thicke will continue to support his platinum-selling sophomore set with a US fall tour that will visit clubs and theaters from coast to coast.

The monthlong trek is scheduled to kick off Nov. 11 in Englewood, CO. From there, Thicke will make his way to the East Coast before wrapping with a couple of California shows in mid-December. The itinerary is listed below.

The singer, who also criss-crossed the country in the spring, has been out supporting "The Evolution of Robin Thicke," which surfaced a year ago and reached No. 5 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set has spawned the platinum-selling song "Lost Without U" as well as the latest single, "Can U Believe," which is making waves at R&B/hip-hop and adult R&B radio. Both tunes are streaming at Thicke's MySpace page.

The performer wrote and produced all but one song on "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" ("Wanna Love U Girl" was produced by The Neptunes). The set has earned him nominations at the Soul Train Awards and the BET Awards this year, and he's currently up for Favorite Breakthrough Artist at next month's American Music Awards.

Though he's still riding high on the success of his current album, Thicke is already working on his next record and has about half of the material written, according to various reports.

Thicke, the son of actor Alan Thicke and singer/soap star Gloria Loring, is a self-taught pianist and Grammy-winning songwriter and producer. At age 16, with no formal training, he began writing and producing music for artists including Brandy and Brian McKnight, according to his bio. He has since amassed dozens of gold and platinum albums with the likes of Usher, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera.
