Citizen Cope maps early 2008 headlining slate

Singer/multi-instrumentalist/producer Clarence Greenwood--better known as Citizen Cope --has mapped out new headlining dates for early 2008.

The Tennessee-bred singer, who is still backing his 2006 studio effort, "Every Waking Moment," is currently finishing up a run of previously scheduled December dates, an outing that continues Friday (12/7) in Maui, HI, the first of three shows Citizen Cope will play in Hawaii over the next week.

The new dates kick off Feb. 7 in Norfolk, VA, with Citizen Cope scheduled to hit 20 cities on the tour, leading up to a March 8 slot at Florida's Langerado Festival, which moves to a new location this year at the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation near southern Florida's Everglades National Park.

Most of Citizen Cope's 2008 dates are currently available as pre-sales through his fan ticketing site; see the performer's official website for details.

"Every Waking Moment," released in September of last year, was the performer's third studio album and second for the RCA label. The disc peaked at No. 69 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
