Members of Slightly Stoopid's fan club, MySpace community and street team can score pre-sale tickets and a free digital music sampler through Jan. 4 at MusicToday's website. The band is also offering members a limited number of ticket bundles that include signed posters as well as Slightly Stoopid's latest CD, "Chronchitis," and The Expendables' self-titled album. General ticket sales begin Jan. 5.

Slightly Stoopid recently wrapped a fall headlining tour to support "Chronchitis," which surfaced in August and snagged the No. 2 spot on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart. The set, which is the group's sixth independent release, features guest artists including Guru of Gang Star, Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Money Mark of the Beastie Boys and G. Love. A couple of songs from the record are streaming at Slightly Stoopid's MySpace page.

The band put out a couple of live releases last year: the two-disc "Winter Tour '05-'06" and the "Live in San Diego" DVD, which was filmed over two nights at the House of Blues in Slightly Stoopid's hometown of San Diego, CA.

During their decade-long career, the bandmates--still in their 20s--have sold more than 300,000 records independently and built a worldwide following of die-hard fans, lovingly referred to as Stoopidheads, according to a press release. They were discovered by the late Bradley Nowell of Sublime, who signed Slightly Stoopid to his Skunk Records label when founding members Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald were still in high school.

They went on to tour with the likes of Sublime, Dave Matthews Band, Pennywise, and The Roots, and have played major festivals including Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and New Orleans Jazzfest.

Last year, Slightly Stoopid made it onto the Top 50 list of touring bands, according to industry mag Pollstar.
