Country singer Neal McCoy has roped up a head start on the new year, with at least one live date lined up for every month in 2008 through October.
The veteran performer, who hails from Texas, hits his first 2008 stage Jan. 11 in Gun Barrel City, TX, and has five dates mapped for January, including a pair of shows beginning Jan. 18 in Red Wing, MN.
McCoy's schedule revs up during the traditional fair circuit months, with 10 dates already marked down for June and July. The singer's complete itinerary is included below.
McCoy continues to support his most recent studio album, 2005's "That's Life." The album sports the single "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On," which briefly reached the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart in 2005. The disc marked McCoy's debut (and only full-length release) for his own record label, 903 Music, which filed for bankruptcy and closed its doors earlier this year.
The singer, born to Filipino and Irish parents, released his debut album, "At This Moment," in 1991. He broke through to popular acclaim a few years later when two of the singles from his 1994 album, "No Doubt About It"--the title track and "Wink"--hit the No. 1 spot on the US country charts. Although McCoy has not reached the top spot since, he has charted more than 25 singles during his career.
