Seether, Flyleaf team for spring outing

Alt-rockers and good buddies Seether and Flyleaf will get together for an eight-week trek across the US this spring.

The tour is set to launch April 8 in Denver and visit cities from coast to coast through May 31. The initial run of dates is listed below and the full itinerary is expected to surface in the next week or so. Tickets for most shows go on sale beginning Feb. 15-16.

"We couldn't be more excited to kick off our first headlining tour of 2008 with an amazing band like Flyleaf," Seether vocalist/guitarist Shaun Morgan said in a statement. "We're going to have a longer set which means more new music and even cool surprises for our fans."

In the meantime, Seether will continue its North American outing with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin through early April. Those dates can be found at Seether's website.

Seether is currently enjoying one of its biggest hits to date, "Fake It," which is the lead track off of October's "Finding Beauty in Negative Places." The album, which follows 2005's gold-certified "Karma and Effect," reached No. 9 on The Billboard 200. The band also released a live, acoustic set, "One Cold Night," in 2006.

Flyleaf is supporting Korn in Europe through early March. Details about those shows are available at Flyleaf's website.

The Texas-based rock quintet continues to support its platinum-selling, self-titled debut, which has scored rock radio hits with "I'm So Sick" and "Fully Alive." Flyleaf's third single, "All Around Me," has been making waves at rock and pop radio, and the band's latest, "Breathe Today," just made its debut on the mainstream-rock chart. All those songs are streaming at the group's MySpace page.
