The Las Vegas stop of the Vans Warped Tour, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday (6/27), has been postponed until Aug. 7. Meanwhile, the Chuck D-fronted rock outfit Confrontation Camp, which was expected to appear on eight Warped dates, has announced that it will not join the tour.
The venue for the rescheduled show--as well as the line-up of bands--hadn’t been announced at press time. Tickets for the June 27 show will be honored on the rescheduled date, and ticket-holders who would like a refund should contact their ticket-seller for more information.
The reason behind the postponement of the Las Vegas show wasn’t announced, though tour officials changed the venue for the Las Vegas-area show just last week. The show was originally set to take place at Car Country Park Boulevard in Henderson, Nev., and was then moved the Calloway Golf Center in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, according to the Warped tour’s official website, the release date for Confrontation Camp’s debut album, “Objects in the Mirror Are Closer than They Appear,” has been pushed back to Aug. 8.
“Financially and logistically it was not feasible to do the eight dates we were originally offered by the Vans Warped Tour,” Chuck D wrote in an email to Warpedtour.com. “We would have also had to tour without a new Confrontation Camp album in record stores, so we decided to tour later in the year, after the record is released."
The sixth Vans Warped Tour opened on Friday (6/23) in Fresno, Calif. Among the bands on Friday’s bill were Green Day, Papa Roach, NOFX, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Weezer.
