Jose Gonzalez drops remix EP, lines up summer dates

Singer/songwriter Jose Gonzales has announced a summer headlining outing on the heels of a new remix EP featuring retooled songs from his latest studio set, last year's "In Our Nature."

The Swedish native--who was born to Argentinean parents--kicks off the summer run with a June 13 appearance at Manchester, TN's Bonnaroo Festival. The first headlining date comes the following night (6/14) in Louisville, KY, and concerts are lined up in 17 cities through early July, with stops in both Mexico and Canada. All dates are below.

Released in September, "In Our Nature" is Gonzalez's long-awaited follow-up to his 2003 debut album, "Veneer," which gained attention in the US after the inclusion of its song "Crosses" on 2005's season-ending episode of the television series "The O.C." The set was subsequently reissued later that year, and an EP, "Stay in the Shade," followed last January.

Available only as a digital download, the "In Our Nature Remixes" EP features songs remixed by Todd Terje, Penchenga Nord, Beatfanatic, Landberg & Skogehall and others.

On May 6, Gonzales will release "Teardrop" as a digital single in the US. The song--a cover of a Massive Attack tune--will be paired with the non-album b-side "Four Forks Ache."
