Roots-rockers O.A.R. , who are in the midst of a spring tour, will segue into a three-month summer jaunt to support their forthcoming studio album, "All Sides."
The band continues its current run tomorrow (4/26) at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and will also stop by Memphis' Beale Street Music Festival before wrapping the spring leg in late May.
The "All Sides Tour" is set to launch June 15 at Manchester, TN's Bonnaroo Music Festival and visit a host of venues and other high-profile festivals across the US through late August. The itinerary includes two-night stands in San Francisco, Milwaukee and West Hollywood, CA, as well as a three-night tour finale at the Dave Matthews Band's annual Labor Day Weekend party at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA. Details are listed below.
Tickets for the summer outing go on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster (LiveDaily's parent company) starting today (4/25). In most markets, ticket buyers will receive free MP3s of two album tracks, "This Town" and "What is Mine," and will have the option to pre-order an MP3 version of the remaining 10 tracks on "All Sides." The free tracks will be provided to fans within 24 hours of their ticket purchase, and the 10 remaining album tracks will be available on July 14--a day before the "All Sides" hits stores--to fans who opted for the MP3 album/ticket bundle.
"All Sides" is O.A.R.'s first new studio album since 2005's "Stories of a Stranger," which reached the Top 40 on The Billboard 200 and spawned radio-friendly hits "Love and Memories" and "Heard the World." The band's latest release, "Live From Madison Square Garden," captures its sold-out performance at the legendary venue in January 2007.
O.A.R. formed 12 years ago while the members were still in high school. By the time the guys graduated from college, they had released three albums on their own label, sold more than 300,000 copies and built a devoted college following, according to their bio. They joined forces with Lava Records for their 2003 major-label debut, "In Between Now and Then," and have since surpassed sales of 1.4 million.
