Staind, 3 Doors Down, Hinder to co-headline summer trek

Staind and 3 Doors Down will hit the road together for a summer co-headlining run, with both bands expected to issue new studio albums later this year.

The two acts, who will also be joined on the tour by alt-rockers Hinder , will kick off the outing July 4 in Muskegon, MI. The trek will consist of 16 dates, the bulk of them in July. The complete schedule is below, along with separate headlining dates for both Staind and 3 Doors Down.

Staind and 3DD have previously shared tours. "Ah, we're good friends with them," Staind frontman Aaron Lewis told Blabbermouth.net recently. "And it'll be fun. I can't wait to hook up with 'em."

Staind is currently working on a follow-up to 2005's platinum-selling "Chapter V." A video diary of the band's progress in the studio is posted at its MySpace page. The album's working title is "The Illusion of Progress."

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis has undertaken several brief solo tours over the last year, and is reportedly working on his first solo album, although a release date hasn't yet been announced.

3 Doors Down is set to release its fifth studio album, a self-titled set due in stores May 20.

Hinder released its debut album, "Extreme Behavior," in 2005. The band is reportedly working on a follow-up LP, with no release date currently set.
