Tour packages Secondhand Serenade, fellow emo acts

Emo road warriors Secondhand Serenade , Rookie of the Year, My American Heart, PlayRadioPlay! and The Graduate have teamed up for a summer jaunt that will visit clubs throughout the US.

The tour begins July 11 in Los Angeles and hits major markets through an Aug. 2 finale in Colorado Springs.

Secondhand Serenade, also known as John Vesely, headlines the trek behind its sophomore release, "A Twist in My Story." The album finds Vesely collaborating with two heavyweight producers: Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails, Angels & Airwaves) and Butch Walker (Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects).

Rookie of the Year is supporting its second album, "Sweet Attention," which hits stores Aug. 26 via One Eleven Records. Veterans of the Bamboozle Festival and the Vans Warped Tour, the band regularly gets between 2,000 and 3,000 plays on MySpace daily, according to a press release. They've racked up more than 5.5 million plays total.

Founded by Daniel Hunter, PlayRadioPlay! is a one-man electronic/pop band from Aledo, Texas. He released the album "Texas" on March 18.

San Diego's My American Heart recently released its second album, "Hiding Inside the Horrible Weather," on Warcon Records, founded by Warped Tour creator Kevin Lyman. The album was produced by James Paul Wisner.

For its debut full-length album, "Anhedonia," The Graduate teamed with acclaimed producer Brian McTernan (Circa Survive, Senses Fail) at Salad Days Studios in Baltimore, MD.
