Husband-and-wife rockers Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi take to the road again this summer, followed by a run of Trucks' shows with his own band.
The pair--guitarist Trucks, who also continues in his duties as a full-time member of The Allman Brothers Band, and singer/songwriter Tedeschi--have been married since 2001 but toured together for the first time just last year, when the couple launched a summer outing.
The latest version of the "Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Soul Stew Revival," as the pair is once again billing the shows, kicked off last week in Michigan, with the next date coming Thursday night (7/17) in Ketchum, ID.
The entire Derek Trucks Band (bassist Todd Smaille, percussionist Yonrico Scott, keyboardist Kofi Burbridge, vocalist Mike Mattison and percussionist Count M'butu) will back the couple onstage during the run. Following the "Revival" shows, the Derek Trucks Band will launch a mid-to-late summer trek, kicking off Aug. 17 in Burlington, VT. The complete schedule is included below.
Tedeschi's most recent studio album is 2005's "Hope and Desire," for which she received a Grammy nomination in the Best Contemporary Blues Album category.
The Derek Trucks Band released its sixth album, "Songlines," in 2006.
