Singer/songwriter/actress Kate Voegele has mapped an extensive headlining tour this summer as she continues to support her debut album, last year's "Don't Look Away."
The 21-year-old performer--who completed a seven-episode run on the teen drama "One Tree Hill" earlier this year--will kick off the outing Aug. 8 in Pomona, CA. The University of Phoenix-sponsored trek is schedule to hit more than 40 cities through early October. Dates are below.
"Don't Look Away," released in May of last year (and re-released in January with three additional tracks) was the singer's debut for MySpace Records. In 2006, Voegele became the first performer signed to the fledgling label, which features artists who got their first widespread exposure through appearing on the popular social networking service.
"MySpace was on board two years before 'One Tree Hill' ever came about," Voegele recently told LiveDaily. "They believed in me from the beginning. Without them and my management--everybody on my whole team--I think it would be impossible to be where I am now. That's probably been one of the greatest milestones in my career."
The singer also claimed she has already written enough original material for 10 studio albums.
"I have so much stuff," she said. "As an artist, I'm always writing because I'm always inspired by everything that's going on around me. I'm having all these amazing experiences, now that I'm on tour and meeting people and hanging out with everybody and seeing new places; it's incredibly inspirational. I'm always writing. I can't wait to get in the studio again, although I'm definitely still really excited about doing this record and riding it out."
