Cobra Starship gets 'Sassy' on fall headlining trek

Dance-pop outfit Cobra Starship hits the road this fall on the so-called "Sassy Tour" as the alt-rockers continue to support their latest studio set, last year's "Viva La Cobra!"

The New York City-based crew will kick off the run Oct. 7 in Buffalo, NY, with dates extending through the end of November. The 35-city jaunt features support from a trio of pop-rock acts: Forever The Sickest Kids, Hit The Lights, and Sing It Loud. The schedule is included below.

Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen labelmate Fall Out Boy's frontman Patrick Stump produced Cobra Starship's sophomore effort, "Viva La Cobra!," which debuted at No. 80 on The Billboard 200 album chart.

Guitarist Ryland Blackinton explained earlier this year to LiveDaily that the producer essentially became a member of the band during the recording process.

"He did quite a bit and he really got involved in it. I've never worked with a 'producer-producer.' They've always been musicians. It seems better to have a musician."

The album follows the group's 2006 debut, "While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets," which briefly topped Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.
