Hotel Cafe Tour returns for fall run
Nearly 20 female artists--including Priscilla Ahn , Rachel Yamagata, Ingrid Michaelson and Meiko--will take part in the next Hotel Cafe Tour .
The fall outing is set to launch Oct. 9 in Santa Barbara, CA, and visit clubs and theaters across the US through mid-November. The itinerary is listed below.
At least five acts will appear on each date, and indie singer/songwriter Meiko will perform the entire run. The rotating lineup also includes Kate Havnevik, Thao Nguyen, Brooke Fraser, Samantha Crain, Alice Russell, Jaymay, Erin McCarley, Katie Herzig, Jenny Owen Youngs, Lenka, Emliy Wells, Anya Marina, Holly Conlan, KaiserCartel and Catherine Feeny. The 2008 Hotel Cafe Tour kicked into gear last spring with sold-out shows throughout North America and Europe featuring Michaelson, Sara Bareilles and a host of other performers.
The outing, named after Los Angeles' Hotel Cafe music venue, was created four years ago to bring the vibe of intimate coffeehouse performances to fans all over the world. The venue evolved from a small coffee shop and has become one of the premier singer/songwriter showcases in the US, according to a press release.
