Casting Crowns line up holiday dates for 'Peace'

Christian rockers Casting Crowns have unveiled dates for a holiday-themed winter tour to go along with the band's forthcoming Christmas album, which drops into stores next week.

The Florida-based group will kick off the holiday trek Nov. 28 in Cypress, TX, with the outing stretching through a Dec. 13 appearance in Reading, PA. The group is currently finishing up a fall run, which continues tonight (10/2) in Savannah, GA. Details are below.

Due in stores Oct. 7, "Peace on Earth" features 10 traditional Christmas tracks. The set can be ordered through the group's website, and fans who order online will receive a limited edition collector's Christmas card.

Casting Crowns continues to support its most recent non-Christmas set and third album, "The Altar and The Door," which debuted last fall at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, setting a new record for a Christian artist without crossover promotion in the mainstream market.

The set has since scored a gold-album certification and three Grammy nominations: Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album, as well as Best Gospel Performance and Best Gospel Song for the lead single, "East to West."
