Alt-rockers Low vs Diamond will launch a co-headlining club trek with indie-rockers Barcelona next month in support of their debut album, which hit stores in April.
Los Angeles-based Low vs Diamond, which toured recently in a support role for Santogold, kicks off the outing Nov. 3 in Nashville, TN. The 22-city outing is scheduled to run through the first week of December. Dates are below.
The band appeared in several "artists to watch" features, including Rolling Stone's Hot List, Filter Magazine's "Getting To Know You" section and the Los Angeles Times' "THE LIST," before releasing its self-titled debut album this spring on Sony BMG.
Streaming video cuts of several songs from the album--including a clip for the song "Heart Attack" directed by Marc Klasfeld (Coheed and Cambria, Jay-Z)--are currently up at the band's website.
Seattle-based Barcelona released its debut album, "Absolutes," last year. The band, which began performing gigs in 2005, consists of former Seattle Pacific University students Brian Fennell (vocals/keyboards), Chris Bristol (guitar) and Rhett Stonelake (drums), along with bassist Brian Eichelberger.
The band signed a promotional deal with MySpace.com and MySpace Records in 2007 that enabled Barcelona to release "Absolutes" on its own recording label, NBD Records.
