The Raveonettes release new EP, map US tour

Danish noise-pop duo The Raveonettes has released "Beauty Dies," the second of three digital-only EPs the group has in store following February's full-length "Lust Lust Lust," and has scheduled a handful of US concerts.

The pair--singer/songwriter/guitarist Sune Rose Wagner and singer/bassist Sharin Foo--revealed plans for the trio of EPs following the album's release, along with a free remix EP featuring re-workings of various tunes from "Lust."

"Beauty Dies," which can be heard in streaming form and also purchased directly from the band's Spinner mini-site, follows September's "Sometimes They Drop By" EP. The third release in the EP series is due Nov. 25.

The group also announced a few dates for early next year, kicking off Jan. 15 in Boston. The complete five-city schedule is included below.

The Raveonettes, who were captured live earlier this year for one of the first-ever LiveDaily Sessions, take a high-tech approach to songwriting, composing most of their material over the Internet.

"We shoot files back and forth," Wagner told LiveDaily in April. "I come up with the song and then I send it over to Sharin and I get her opinion on it and we tweak things around. We just send songs back and forth in that way because we don't live in the same city. She's West Coast; I'm East Coast. It works out fine."
