Portugal. The Man raises 'Colors' on year-ending trek

Indie-rockers Portugal. The Man are set to continue their late-year touring spree behind their latest album, September's "Censored Colors."

The Alaska-based group, which launched the tour last month in California, continues the trek tonight (11/4) in Rochester, NY. More than 20 dates remain on the outing, which concludes with a Dec. 20 appearance in the band's hometown of Wasilla, AK, which it shares with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Details are included below.

The band--vocalist/guitarist John Baldwin Gourley, bassist Zachery Carothers, keyboardist/vocalist Ryan Neighbors and drummer Jason Sechrist--dropped "Censored Colors," its third studio album, in September, with assistance from producers Phil Peterson and Kirk Huffman of The House of Breaking Glass, and Paul Kolderie (Pixies, Radiohead).

The new set--which debuted at No. 10 on Billboard's Top Heastseekers chart--follows a little over a year after the group's previous effort, "Church Mouth."

"Ever since we first started, this is exactly what we wanted to do," Gourley said in the band's bio. "An album-a-year, tour, and always challenge ourselves by pushing in different directions and trying to do things we haven't done before."

Streaming videos of the "Censored Colors" tracks "All Mine" and "Lay Me Back Down" are available at the band's website.
