Alt-rockers Copeland will continue their in-progress headlining tour this week as the band builds support behind its latest studio release, "You Are My Sunshine."
The Florida-based group resumes the outing tomorrow night (11/5) in Boise, ID, and still has around 15 dates left on the trek, which kicked off last month in North Carolina. A trio of fellow alt-rock acts--Lovedrug, Lydia and Lights--will offer opening support for the remainder of the run. Remaining dates are below.
"You Are My Sunshine," Copeland's fourth full-length studio effort and first for Tooth & Nail Records, dropped into stores last month. The album features production from alt-rock vet Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Pedro the Lion).
"Sprinkle has this real concise thing when making records that sound very polished and in a way, inhuman," frontman Aaron Marsh said of the album's producer in the group's bio. "Past Copeland albums have been the opposite of that. But what he did was capture the juxtaposition we were going for--the blending of human inhuman sounds, unnatural and ethereal sounds."
The record follows the band's 2006 release, "Eat, Sleep, Repeat." The group also released "Dressed Up & In Line," a B-sides and outtakes compilation, late last year.
