Venerable Southern California skate-punks NOFX will get a jump on 2009 with a run of headlining nightclub in January.
The band, which has already lined up a UK tour for next spring, will kick off the outing Jan. 30 in Las Vegas. The West Coast trek hits San Francisco in early February for four shows at four separate venues, along with a pair of shows apiece in both Los Angeles and San Diego. Details are shown below.
Released last November, "They've Actually Gotten Worse Live" is a 24-track CD and double-vinyl LP that was recorded over three nights in early 2007 in the band's adopted hometown of San Francisco. The set is the group's second live release, following 1995's "I Heard They Suck Live!!"
NOFX's most recent studio work, 2006's "Wolves in Wolves' Clothing," was produced by Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore in Colorado Springs, CO. The 18-song, 30-minute set contains four songs from the band's recent "Seven Inch of the Month Club" series of singles: "Leaving Jesusland," "I'm Going to Hell For This One," "You're Wrong" and "You Lose Your Faith."
The band's frontman, Fat Mike, recently released his seventh album with his punk cover-band side-project, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Released in July, "Have Another Ball!" compiles 12 cuts from throughout the band's career, some of them previously available only as long out-of-print 7" singles.
