Less Than Jake plans ahead

Ska-punk rockers Less Than Jake are already looking to next spring, when they'll kick off a US tour with reggae-rock quartet The Expendables.

Less Than Jake is currently touring Europe to support its June release, "GNV FLA." The album, which pays homage to the band's hometown of Gainesville, FL, marks LTJ's debut on its own Sleep It Off Records label after 12 years of recording for the majors.

"After a decade and a half of being in the band, we are now our own bosses for real and the excitement of that can peel paint off the walls," drummer Vinnie Fiorello said in the band's bio.

That newfound freedom set Less Than Jake up for a busy 2008. In addition to offering up "GNV FLA," the bandmates re-released several albums from their catalog, including "Pezcore," "Losers, Kings and Things We Don't Understand" and "Goodbye Blue and White," as well as "The People's History of Less Than Jake" DVD. The re-releases include new artwork and a bonus DVD of previously unreleased material.

The band has also put out a deluxe box-set edition of "GNV FLA" comprising the full album with 13 unreleased bonus tracks, three 7-inch records, a DVD and a poster.
