Acoustic pop/rock act Secondhand Serenade will launch into the New Year with a headlining jaunt across North America.
The outfit, which is the solo project of singer/songwriter John Vesely, recently finished a co-bill run with Cute Is What We Aim For, and will wrap 2008 with a Dec. 19 gig in Honolulu, HI. Next year's trek is set to kick off Jan. 16 in Las Vegas and stop by more than 15 cities across the US and Canada into February.
Meg & Dia, White Tie Affair and Rookie of the Year will open all stateside dates, while Meg & Dia and Everlea support in Canada. The full itinerary is listed below.
Vesely's Secondhand Serenade continues to ride high on its platinum-certified single, "Fall for You," which has been a fixture on Billboard's Pop 100 chart for more than 30 weeks. The song comes from the singer/guitarist/pianist's sophomore set, "A Twist in My Story," which surfaced in February and reached No. 44 on The Billboard 200.
MTV recently premiered the album's followup single, "Your Call," which can be heard at Secondhand Serenade's MySpace page. A new version of that tune will be featured on "A Twist In My Story Deluxe Edition," which will also include additional tracks, music videos and a behind-the-scenes DVD, according to a press release. The deluxe version is due Feb. 3.
