Justin Nozuka maps US tour with Missy Higgins

Canadian singer/songwriter Justin Nozuka will head out on the road in February for a co-headlining outing with fellow singer/songwriter Missy Higgins .

The 19-year-old Nozuka and Aussie Higgins will kick off the run Feb. 19 in Houston. The schedule shows 24 stops through late March, concluding with a Nozuka solo show March 25 in Solana Beach, CA. Dates are below.

"I'm really excited to be coming back out for another US tour," said Nozuka in a statement. "I feel so great with the way things are happening here. One of the main things I dreamed of growing up was to play in front of a large audience, and it just feels incredible to be coming back around and to be playing bigger venues for more people."

Nozuka--who has appeared, along with his brother, George, on the popular Canadian television show "Degrassi: The Next Generation"--released his debut album, "Holly," last spring. The singer titled the set, which peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, after his mother, Holly Sedgwick, sister of actress Kyra Sedgwick..

"It popped in my head and felt perfect," Nozuka told LiveDaily recently. "My mom was so supportive during the whole process. I was doing it independently and she really supported me and helped me out during the recording process, as far as all the financial stuff. I was just out of high school. I didn't have any money. That was a huge move for her to do. Also, just because she's my mom. I was going through a time where I started to really understand, 'Wow. My mother has done a lot for me, including bringing me into this world.' She's a great woman."

Higgins continues to support her second solo album, "On a Clear Night," which surfaced in the first half of 2007. The Australian performer has spun three singles off of the set, with the most recent, "Peachy," hitting airwaves in November 2007.
