Formed several years ago in Columbia, MO, the band has built a reputation for being mischievous with the press, creating several fake biographies and refusing to offer real names. A recent press release described the band's latest album, last year's "Kontpab," as an attempt to "attract the brood orientation of the young mind" through the use of "irratainment."

"There's nothing worse than reading a serious bio," co-founder Hunter Husar told the Columbia Daily Tribune last spring. "It makes me want to puke or just get up and start doing something else. I think it's because we don't take ourselves seriously."

The band signed on with K Records founder Calvin Johnson for "Kontpab," its sophomore studio effort, which follows the group's 2005 debut, "Raydoncong 2005."

"They just want people to listen to our music," Husar said of his band's new label. "They just don't want us to brainwash the kids too quickly. But I have as of yet to see or hear a band that does anything related to what we are doing, in the sense of composition or rhythm, at least from the States."
