Elton John and Billy Joel have added a few new dates to their upcoming "Face 2 Face" tour, which launches in early spring and is expected to run for parts of the next two years.
The latest additions to the itinerary, which has now grown to 13 cities across the US, are May shows in St. Louis, MO (5/14); Indianapolis (5/19); and Cleveland (5/23). Tickets for all three concerts go on sale Jan. 17, and the trek kicks off March 2 in Jacksonville, FL. Details are included below.
John and Joel will open the concerts with a series of duets, playing twin pianos and trading vocals, with each star then performing a set with his own band, according to a press release. Following the individual sets, the two will join together for a grand finale.
John and Joel first toured together in 1994, and their most recent "Face 2 Face" outing was a sold-out, 24-date trek in 2003. The Grammy winners are the most successful and longest-running concert pairing in pop history, according to a press release.
John is keeping a busy schedule up to the start of the "Face 2 Face" trek, currently touring his "Red Piano" extravaganza in Europe and returning to his Las Vegas residency in February. His full schedule can be found at his website.
Joel recently finished a run of Australian dates and is currently in the midst of an ongoing engagement at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. His full itinerary is listed at his website.
