Singer/songwriter Missy Higgins will head out on the road next month for a run of co-headlining dates with Justin Nozuka as she continues to support her latest album, "On a Clear Night."
Higgins, who spent months on the road last year on separate tours with Ben Folds and Indigo Girls, gets things underway Feb. 19 in Houston. The 24-date trek is slated to run through late March. Details are below. Lenka will provide opening support on the tour.
Higgins, an Australian who relocated temporarily to Los Angeles last year, continues to tour behind her sophomore studio effort, "On a Clear Night," which saw its US release early last year.
Featuring the single "Steer"--which earned the artist her second No. 1 record honor in Australia--the set was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by studio ace Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Pearl Jam).
The singer made her recording debut with 2004's "The Sound of White," a massively popular album in Australia, where it sold more than a half-million copies and remained on the country's Top 100 chart for more than two years.
Nozuka, a 19-year-old Canadian singer/songwriter, released his debut album, "Holly," last spring. He titled the set after his mother, Holly Sedgwick, sister of actress Kyra Sedgwick. Nozuka has appeared, along with his brother, George, on the popular Canadian television show "Degrassi: The Next Generation."
