Crue Fest returns this summer

Motley Crue will take another merry band of rockers out this summer on Crue Fest 2: The White Trash Circus.

The nearly 30-date US outing will criss-cross the country beginning July 19 in Camden, NJ, and wrap Sept. 5 in Darien Center, NY. The full schedule, which mixes in a couple of Crue-only shows, is detailed below.

This year's Crue Fest lineup will be revealed at a March 16 press conference in New York City before Motley Crue hits the stage at Madison Square Garden. Last year's bill featured Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M. and Trapt, who played in front of nearly half a million fans, according to a press release.

"Last year at Crue Fest, we set out to have more fun than humans are allowed to have," drummer Tommy Lee said in a statement. "We succeeded beyond that. This year, we are going to top that and I guarantee we will."

Crue fan-club members can already get a hold of presale tickets, the general public will have access to a presale beginning March 2, and the general on-sale starts March 21. Ticket prices range from around $30 to $100 plus service charges. Further information is available at the Crue Fest website.

Promotional activities surrounding the lineup announcement and ticket on-sale include launch parties in concert venues and in-theater screenings of a Crue Fest 1 documentary, which will also be released on DVD March 24.

Meanwhile, Motley Crue is in the midst of its "Saints of Los Angeles 2009 Winter Tour", which launched earlier this month and continues tonight (2/25) in Columbus, OH. That trek, also featuring Hinder, Theory of a Deadman and The Last Vegas, still has dates around the eastern US and Canada through mid-March.

The Crue has also been tapped as a headliner for the May 16-17 Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, OH.

The veteran rockers are supporting last summer's "Saints of Los Angeles," which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and has scored mainstream rock hits with the title track and "Mutherfu**** of the Year." The set marks Motley Crue's first new studio album with its original lineup--Lee, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars--in more than a decade.

The band also recently re-issued its complete catalog, which comprises eight studio albums originally released between 1981 and 2000.
