Staind hits the road next month for a slate of casino dates, with support at most shows from Hoobastank and, on select nights, Shinedown .
The Boston-based headliners launch the trek April 18 in New Town, ND, following a pair of radio-station arena festivals in Florida. The outing runs through late May and finishes up on the West Coast. Details are shown below.
Staind is supporting "The Illusion of Progress," which hit stores last summer. The set debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, giving the band its fourth consecutive album to debut at least that high on the charts.
The set, which follows 2005's platinum-certified "Chapter V," was produced by Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down) and was recorded in frontman Aaron Lewis's home studio.
"We took a lot of time trying to come up with the perfect tone, taking all the different guitars I have and comparing every guitar to every amp," Lewis told LiveDaily last year. "Sometimes, we'd spend eight to 10 hours in a day trying to find the right sound. I think that's probably what was different than other things on the last album."
Hoobastank released its fourth studio album, "For(n)ever," in January.
