The 29th annual Long Beach Blues Festival [ tickets ], scheduled Aug. 30-31, will be held this year in a new location, the Rainbow Lagoon at Linden Ave. and Shoreline Dr. adjacent to the Long Beach Marina, according to a press release.

The Blues Fest, historically held at the California State University Long Beach athletic field, will this year feature Chuck Berry [ tickets ], Sly & the Family Stone [ tickets ], Booker T. Jones [ tickets ], John Mayall [ tickets ] and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band among others. The Long Beach Blues Festival raises money for publicly supported radio station KKJZ-FM.
