TobyMac Solo Concert Film

Kevin "TobyMac" McKeehan's first concert film, "Alive and Transported," was released May 27 in a DVD/CD package. The film, which documents the former dcTalk member's 2007 "Portable Sounds" tour, will appear in movie theaters nationwide one night only, June 9, according to a press release.

Filmmaker Eric Welch, who is celebrating a decade of directing award-winning music videos and live concerts, formed his Broken Poet Production company while working on dcTalk's live DVD "Welcome to the Freakshow." "Alive and Transported" makes its US premiere in theaters June 5 in Nashville.

McKeehan was one-third of the award-winning Christian group dcTalk until the band announced its hiatus in 2000. He has released three studio albums during his solo career. His songs have been featured in numerous films, commercials, television programs and video games including "Music Inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," ESPN's "Sportscenter," an advertisement for "Dr. Phil," the Xbox 360 video game "Crackdown," and the film "The Game Plan."
